Understand recommendations
Belay uses your own training history to suggest a sensible next working weight. You always decide what is appropriate today.
Read Suggested and Range
Suggested is Belay’s next working-weight recommendation. Range gives nearby choices that still fit the target. Choose Use Suggested when it suits the set.
Give Belay useful history
Complete ordinary working sets with accurate weights and reps. Warmups are saved, but they do not count toward recommendations, volume, or personal bests.
Understand 1RM
Your one-rep max, or 1RM, is the most weight you can lift once with good form. Belay can estimate it from a normal weighted set, so you do not need to test a true maximum.
See what SmartSpot learned
SmartSpot explains how recent results shaped the next suggestion. Consistently meeting targets can support an increase. Coming in under target or skipping difficult sets can support a smaller suggestion.
Adjust recommendation intensity
Open Settings, find Workout, and adjust Recommendation intensity. Move it lower for more conservative weight changes or higher for the full suggested adjustment. This changes future recommendations, not your saved history.
