Track effort with RPE
RPE adds useful context to weight and reps by recording how hard a set felt to you.
Settings → Workout → Track RPE
Turn on Track RPE
Open Settings and enable Track RPE. The RPE field will appear when you log or edit a set. This display preference stays on the device.

Use the 1 to 10 scale
Rate the effort after the set:
- 10: You could not complete another rep with good form.
- 9: About one good rep remained.
- 8: About two good reps remained.
- 7: About three good reps remained.
- 6 or lower: The set was increasingly comfortable.
Record what you felt
Choose the closest honest rating. RPE is personal, so it does not need to match another trainee’s rating for the same weight.
Look for patterns
Exercise reports can show RPE effort trends. SmartSpot can use repeated comparable working sets to support or hold a future increase.
